BIG BLOCK vs. Single Panel Systems:

Cost associated with installation - Extra amounts of land are needed for tie-back systems which in turn, equals more costs associated with land purchases.  BIG BLOCK such as Stone Strong walls can be installed up to 12' without reinforcement or tiebacks with proper engineering.  Panel Systems require massive tieback reinforcement.  The installation of panel systems is very labor intensive due to the large amounts of excavation and aggregate backfill.  Tieback reinforcements may also interfere with utility easements.
